Pete the Cat Read Aloud – What’s It About?

Pete the Cat goes on a walking journey in his new white shoes singing and grooving to his song…

“I love my white shoes, I love my white shoes, I love my white shoes.”

While walking, his shoes get messy, changing into different colors like blue, red, brown, and WET.

Stepping into blueberries, mud, and other things changes the colors of Pete’s white shoes.

But, he doesn’t get upset!

In fact, he keeps moving and grooving while singing his song because “it’s all good”.

The moral of the story, don’t sweat the small stuff!

For Grades: Preschool to 3rd

Best For: Toddlers, Early Readers

Rated a top “Teacher’s Pick” on Amazon, this book is one of the most popular (and best-selling) stories in the Pete the Cat Series.

Here are a few things reviewers are sharing…

“My autistic 5 year old LOVES these Pete the Cat books! They’re simple enough for him to memorize, with small enough words to practice his actual reading skills and are fun to sing/recite!” ~ www.amazon.com

“I am an art teacher and look for books to incorporate into my lessons. My students LOVE Pete the Cat books and after reading it to the class we make an art project based on the book. I plan to buy more Pete the Cat books. It was funny how he stepped into different things, stained his new shoes but had a good attitude about it and saw the positive side of each situation. Highly recommend.” ~ www.amazon.com

“Love the story. Easy to read. Read this to my reception class and have watched the video on youtube.” ~ www.amazon.com

Final Verdict

A story for toddlers and kids who enjoy interactive reads through a sing-song text.

This is a great learning tool to expose kids to what a typical day looks like at school (going to class, eating lunch, playing on the playground, riding a school bus).

Most importantly, to not sweat the small stuff because everything is “all good”.
