Book Read Aloud and FREE Storybook Activity (including BONUS activity)!

“Meet Ant-Man” superhero read aloud is a Marvel Avengers story made for beginner readers grade levels Pre-K tosuperhero-read-aloud-meet-ant-man Kindergarten (ages 3 to 5 years).

You learn early educational tools like sight words, word repetition, and short, easy to read sentences.

If your kiddo loves superheroes or Ant-Man, this book is for them. 🙂

In the links below, access your read aloud, FREE storybook activity, and BONUS activity “Trace the Letters”!

What’s It About?

Meet Ant-Man!

He is a scientist whose real name is Scott Lang.

BUT he has a secret … he is also Ant-Man!

His heroic suit makes him super strong!

Ant-Man’s special powers allow him to fly and grow BIG or small.

He teams up with the Avengers to fight the bad guys.

And the best part? … The bad guys NEVER see him coming.

Take a peek to meet Ant-Man in this short book read aloud.

Why Is It So Good?

An early read for toddlers between the ages of 3 and 5 years helps you learn all sorts of beginner reading tools like …

  • Sight words (is, a, the)
  • Word repetition
  • Short sentences with larger font

Your child meets Ant-Man in this easy to follow short read aloud.

The story is excellent for beginner readers (especially for those who have shorter attention spans).

Now let’s dive into the storybook activity, Draw the Words!

Meet Ant-Man Storybook Activity

The activity is to draw the words.

Using the letter featured on the left side  (A, M, C, G, B), then spell the word.

Next, draw the word in the box beside it.

Your child is introduced to five new words (including two beginner sight words: can, big) along with putting together a sentence “Ant-Man can grow big!””.

Sight words allow our kiddos to learn to read (they are repetitious words you see ALL the time). 🙂

Now that your child has just learned a new sentence and a couple sight words, let’s view your BONUS “Trace the Letters” activity.

We will go over why this is a GREAT learning tool.

Trace the Letters (BONUS Activity)!

Early on, when a child learns to write by hand it takes a TON of time and practice.

This activity was created to help your kiddo gain control over their fine motor skills (like their hand, finger, and arm movements) that are necessary to form words.superhero-read-aloud-meet-ant-man

Tracing is a wonderful way to help your child practice their writing skills.

Then, when you add a topic they are interested in (like the Marvel Avengers hero, Ant-Man!) learning just became FUN.

Your child gets to trace and write the uppercase letters “ANT MAN”.

When you add tracing to your little one’s drawing time it encourages a few things …

  • Refines pre-writing skills
  • Provides a strong foundation for drawing and emerging writing
  • Is a confidence booster

Each night we met a different superhero before he went to bed.

This became a fun bedtime story routine for a couple reasons …

  1. The wording is simple and easy to follow along which helped my son to gain confidence in his reading skills (within a short period of time he was reading the pages on his own to me)!

What Reviewers are Sharing …

Overall, the global ratings and reviews are extremely high.

The majority of customers are super happy with this book set and here are the common reasons why …superhero-read-aloud-meet-ant-man

  • Simple sentences
  • Kids love it
  • Helps reluctant readers
  • Great for beginner readers
  • Makes a nice gift

Something to keep in mind is the books are smaller in size with dimensions 5.75 x 1.75 x 6.25 inches.

Some customers were surprised about this which is why I’m mentioning it.

The books are designed to fit the size of a child’s hand which is why they are smaller.

I took a pic of my six year old son holding the Ant-Man book to the right (just to give you an idea of the size). 🙂

Final Verdict

This book series is excellent for beginner readers (especially for those who have shorter attention spans).

It is the perfect read aloud for toddlers who are superhero fans or who love Ant-Man!

This is a great resource, especially in todays climate with the uncertainty and unreliability of schools. So many kids are falling behind and they need things they are engaging and educational to turn to. This is useful and fun, something kids desperately need right now. We can’t let them fall further behind.

I didn’t know there was the option to buy Marvel Comic books for small kids. I see that Illustrations are super cool. Thank you for showing us inside the book in your video. I also see there are activities like tracing the letters and drawing the words. It’s all crafted to help our little ones to learn and have fun.

    Lindsey,

What a wonderful resource site!  Your creation is inspiring and uplifting!  I have posted it on my own fb site and forwarded it to my children for their children.  Especially during this time of viruses and social distancing, opportunities for families to spend mindful, nurturing, and bonding time together is paramount and much needed.  Your site provides a go-to haven for those of us who need it, providing activities as well as supportive gear and resources.  In our isolation it’s so easy for us to forget that others may not have the resources we take for granted.  Or, despite our differences or abilities, that we all share similar hopes and dreams.  Your mission is so heart felt and truly amazing.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos!  Bravo to you!

Thank you so much!  That makes my day that the resources are helpful to your kids and their children!  I appreciate your kind words. 🙂

This is quite interesting. I have never seen reading and drawing books for kids base on Ant-man. I always see Spiderman, The Hulk, Superman and Batman.

Well they are the most popular ones anyway. Here in the UK these are the super heroes that are more promoted. So, the book is a good way to introduce Ant-man  to small children.

It will make learning much easier for them by just reading, or letting them draw amazing stories. It’s all about the fun at this age.

I always use this mentioned with my child, and she has learned much from it. I might recommend the book to some friends. I know one kid who love super heroes.

I found here a lot of useful things that I can include in my children’s daily activities. This may be cheating, but busy moms know what I’m talking about – Reading Corner helps me when I don’t have time to read a bedtime story to my kids, and sometimes we watch them together because they are really calming.
    Great work

Thanks Natasa!  I’m so happy to hear the reading corner is helpful to you and your kiddos.
